High School with a Higher Purpose
A member of the Chesterton Schools Network, Our Lady of Victory is a Catholic, classical high school now in its sixth year. From outdoor adventure to fine arts, the practice of prayer to hands-on craftsmanship, our mission is to form happy, fully alive young men and women after God's heart. At Our Lady of Victory, academic excellence, spiritual formation, outdoor recreation, and selfless service are woven together into a single integrated curriculum.
Students begin each day with Mass, so they are able to experience daily the love of Christ through the Eucharist. Students read Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, Virgil, Dante, Chaucer, Shakespeare, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thomas Aquinas, Dickens, Austen, Dostoyevsky. . . and G.K. Chesterton. They study the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. History, literature, philosophy, and theology are braided together. The sciences and the humanities are also intimately connected, so that the logic of math is seen in philosophy, and God’s handiwork is seen in the sciences. Faith and reason meet in every class. Equal emphasis is given to the arts so that every student learns to draw and paint, sing in the choir, act on the stage, give speeches, and engage in debate. Drawing upon the patronage of Our Lady, as well as the wit and wisdom of G.K. Chesterton, Our Lady of Victory engages the culture joyfully, offering witness to the truth and proposing a vibrant path for renewal.
